Success, the type of success that I think of anyway, is a continuous struggle. From banning the tiger from my mind to the momentum to keep going. What I have observed for myself when things are not happening as quickly as I think they should or if I don’t see the needle moving quickly, I want to stop.
Have you ever felt this way? There are only a few who are willing to go the distance, to persevere, or to complete the task. Not for any other reason than for their dream, that one thing that they have homed in on, that they want more than anything in the world. Since this has not been on my radar like that in my life. I struggle with that mindset. Don’t get me wrong, I have always had goals and completed many of them. Just never had that one thing that I have wanted or desired so badly that I would do anything to get there. So, trying to understand that way of thinking and focus is a struggle. However, the one thing that I do understand with these types is that they go DO the WORK. Not just occasionally, but every day and as much as humanly possible. I do know how to work and work hard – just not mentally hard.

These my friends are what sets the average from the superb! This is what I must accomplish. To go the distance, to finally WIN! Not for anyone else but for me to finally prove to myself that I will do it, have done it, and be superb. To get it done means to never quit, ban negativity, to leave the past, and focus on the future. I must find those with the same mindset so that there is a constant feed of positivity and encouragement. Building the best team requires the best players. Those team members who have the same dreams and goals and who want to work harder than you. It may take 100 people to find one, but once that person is found go find another, then another, then another, and another.
With that I leave a quote by Henry Ford; “Whether you think you can or whether you think you can’t — YOU’RE RIGHT!”
